Educational Technician Positions

Candidates for Educational Technician positions (including language facilitator positions) should:
1. Download Portland Public Schools Educational Technician Application.
2. Complete all sections of the application form. Do NOT use "See Resume".
3. Include a copy of your Maine educational technician authorization or valid Maine teacher certificate. If you are not currently authorized in Maine and need further information regarding Maine ed tech authorization or teacher certification requirements, check the Departments website, www.state.me.us/education. Information about the authorization process can be accessed by clicking "Certification" from the site index or you may contact the Certification Office at:

All offers of employment are contingent on eligibility for appropriate Maine authorization or teacher certification.
4. Request forwarding of an official college or university transcript(s). In the interim, attach a copy of your transcripts.
5. Provide two letters of reference.
